About me
👋, I’m Jared.
I'm an operator (mostly product management at fintech companies), advisor, and investor who happens to be exploring new roles right now. I've been working for ~15 years (13 in product management, 2 in venture capital) at places like Costanoa Ventures, PayPal, Blispay, BillMeLater, and BlockFi. I have experience across the full product and startup life cycle, as well as at bigco's. I love learning and trying to be part of meaningful companies.
Feel free to reach out to discuss potential opportunities. In the meantime, I'm open to taking on more advising and consulting/fractional work while also serving as a part-time Venture Partner to The Fintech Fund and mentor in programs like Techstars Miami, Shreyas PM, and Lenny's.
You can contact me on LinkedIn, Twitter @jsfranklin221, or via email at jsfranklin221 at gmail dot com.
I live in S. Florida with my wife and 2 crazy dogs, Capri and Basil.
I’m an ISTJ (borderline INTJ) who values my wife, dogs, health, independent thinking, authenticity, self-awareness, pragmatism, judgment, progress, intellectual honesty, and curiosity.
Startup Investing
I'm a very tiny angel investor, targeting 1-2 per year. Reach out if you think I could be an asset to your startup. Regardless, I can put you in touch with The Fintech Fund and other great investors where it makes sense.
Below are some investments that I've made directly or through syndicates:
Professionally, as a venture capital investor, I sourced and helped lead the seed round for Tensec and Definite.
