Yahoo! or Yahoo?
What is Yahoo!? I realized that I visit the site several times a week but not for search. For me, Yahoo! used to be synonymous with search but I don’t know anyone that uses it as their primary or secondary search engine today. So I don’t use the site which is primarily a search engine for searching purposes but I still visit it everyday… They must be doing something right if I keep coming back.
Check out the evolution of their homepage below. I think they’ve done a great job evolving in terms of aesthetics (even though 12 years ago their simplicity was similar to that of Google today). They’re definitely a content heavy site and if that is their goal then I’d say they’re succeeding.
