Naive Imagination
I wish I was as imaginative as I was as a child. At one point this morning (during a very light sleep) I caught myself laughing while waking up. I was literally laughing out loud. I forgot what it was I was laughing about after about 5 seconds even though I remember thinking that I needed to remember this. My imagination must have been running wild and I obviously enjoyed it.
I think that our imaginations are tamed with age and that imagination runs parallel with naivety. When you think you can do something and others continuously tell you that you can’t, or shouldn’t, than you are almost taught to stop thinking outlandishly. I’m going to work at increasing how naive I am to see if I become more imaginative. My goal is to convince myself that Santa exists :) I want the imagination of a 5 year old.
